On-site fabrication in southern and central Ohio

Cutting, welding and fitting done at your facility, for the work that cannot leave the floor.

On-site fabrication means we bring the cutting, welding and fitting to your building instead of asking you to ship a machine to ours.

Some work simply cannot travel. A guard that has to fit around live equipment, a platform that has to land on an existing floor, a structural repair on a frame that is bolted into a production line. Measuring those in a shop from a photograph is how parts come back wrong. We measure on your floor, fabricate to what is actually there, and fit it in place.

We work in steel, aluminum and stainless, and we are set up for both worlds. If a piece is easier to build in the shop and carry in finished, we will tell you that. If it has to be built where it lives, we bring the equipment and build it there. The decision is about what produces a part that fits, not about what is convenient for us.

Because the shop runs 24 hours, on-site work does not have to wait for a weekday. If the only window to touch a line is a Sunday night shutdown, that is a window we can work in.

One caution worth stating. On-site work is quoted on access as much as on metal. A weld that would take an hour on a bench can take a shift when it is overhead, inside a guard and reachable only from a lift. Tell us about the access when you send the job and the quote will be closer to the final number.

03 / What the work involves

How this job runs

The same sequence every time, so you know what you are buying.

01
Field measurement

We measure the actual condition rather than working from a drawing that may not match what got built.

02
Cutting and fitting in place

Torch, saw and grinder work at your facility, including inside and around equipment that cannot be moved.

03
Structural and repair welding

Steel, aluminum and stainless welded on site, including repairs to frames, platforms, guards and supports.

04
Install and final fit

The piece is set, aligned and fastened where it belongs, not dropped off for someone else to hang.

04 / Detail

If it cannot leave the floor, we come to the floor.

On-site work is the reason a job shop is useful to a plant. The parts that matter most are usually the ones that are already bolted to something.

Do you travel outside Piketon for on-site work?

Yes. Piketon is where the shop is, and we regularly work north toward Chillicothe and Columbus, south toward Portsmouth, and west toward Cincinnati. Tell us where the job is when you send it over and we will confirm before quoting.

Can you work during a shutdown or after hours?

Yes. We are open 24 hours. If your only window is a night or a weekend shutdown, say so on the job form and we will plan the work around that window.

Do you handle residential on-site work?

Only handrails, gates and fences. Everything else we take is commercial and industrial, and we do not take small repairs.

What should I include when I send the job?

What needs to be made or fixed, the material if you know it, where the work is, and when it has to be done. A photo or a drawing helps more than anything else, and the form takes file uploads.

Describe what you need made or fixed and we will send a quote back. Photographs and drawings help more than anything else, so the form takes uploads.

Commercial and industrial work. Residential is limited to handrails, gates and fences, and we do not take small repairs.
